The MOU Signing Ceremony Between GIS.FCU And The Asian Institute of Technology Thailand (AIT)


In the morning of 12 November 2021, the GIS research canter, Feng Chia University (GIS.FCU) – Taiwan, in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Technology Thailand (AIT), held the virtual meeting of the MOU signing ceremony. AIT is good academic institution that ranks 15th Globally for SDG#1 No Poverty (2021 Times Higher Education).

Attending the MOU signing ceremony, there are five participants from GIS.FCU: Dr. Bing-Jean Lee, President of Feng Chia University, Dr. Tien-Yin(Jimmy) Chou, Dean of College of Construction and Development, FCU and Director of GIS.FCU, Dr. Yao-Min(Frank) Fang, Division Manager of GIS.FCU, Dr. Mei-Ling (Milly) Yeh, Division Manager of GIS.FCU, Dr. Hoang Thanh Van, Associate Professor of GIS.FCU.

As for AIT Thailand, there were six participants:Dr. Eden Y. Woon, President of AIT, Prof. Dieter Trau, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Prof. Sangam Shrestha, Head, Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (SET), Dr. Dr. Ho Huu Loc, Assistant Professor, Water Engineering and Management, SET, Mr. Sanjeet Amatya, Special Assistant to the AIT President, Ms. Thiwari Werayasobprasong, Deputy Director, Office of Public Affairs, Mr. Shawn P. Kelly, Director, Office of International Affairs.

The two organizations share common interests in civil-hydraulic engineering, disasters prevention technology, Southeast Asian studies, and The Presidents of both sides expressed strong interest in organizing colleges and students exchange programs. Dean Tien-Yin Chou expressed high expectations of strengthening the academic and practical projects.
