GIS Research Center becomes Asia’s 1st OGC Standards Compliance Testing Center |

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has
officially permitted GIS Research Center to become Asia’s
1st OGC Standards Compliance Testing Center. The OGC has
been devoted to establish worldwide geo-spatial standards
since it was founded in 1994. This entrance permission from
OGC also reveals that GIS Research Center’s contribution has
earned highly positive ratings.
These years OGC has published GIS Research Center’s related applications of standard and monitoring technology, which drew a lot of attention around the world. In OGC’s 73th
Technology Committee Meetings, Feng Chia University has been announced as one of Principal Members.
Meanwhile, Feng Chia University will be the host of OGC’s
77th TC Meetings scheduled in June 2011. Hundreds
of experts, scholars and institute delegates are expected to
attend this meeting. The development and achievements of
national land information system, GIS, 3D application and
remote monitoring in Taiwan will demonstrate in this international
event.
GIS Center sincerely welcomes you to participate in the
International Interoperability Day in June 2010 in Taiwan.
