April 16-18, 2012, Division Manager Ching-Yun (Jackie) Mu and Dr. Wei-Yen (William) Lin attended the 12th Asia-Pacific ITS Forum and Exhibition, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Forum and Exhibition, hosted by ITS Malaysia and Ministry of Work, Malaysia, was titled “Powering transformation in transportation”and attracted more than 700 delegates from 12 ITS country members in Asia-Pacific Region, including the USA, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. Intelligent Transportation Society of Taiwan also called a delegation group of 40 members from government, academy, and industry in Taiwan to join in the biggest congregation of World ITS territory, including Feng Chia University, Institute of Transportation (IOT), Institute for Information Industry (III), National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, Chunghwa Telecom, CECI Engineering Consultants, Inc., and Acer.

Both Jackie and William participated in various social events arranged by the forum host networking with delegates from other countries. Dr. Lin gave a presentation about Taxi Pooling on the second day. Moreover, Jackie has successfully introduced SkyEyes, a featured product of fleet management system, to a local bus company in Malaysia. It is likely for SkyEyes and GIS Research Center, Feng Chia University to knock on the gate of the international market in the near future.
