Cooperation Agreement Opens a New Chapter in University-Industry Relations

Feng Chia University has signed a cooperation agreement with SGS Taiwan Ltd and Taiwan SECOM Co., Ltd on developing GIS cloud computing technology, video monitoring technology and mobile mapping technology. On the morning of April 24, 2012, the Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony was held at Feng Chia University, with FCU President Pao-Long Chang, SGS Director Lin, and SECOM Director Chu. The Ceremony was followed by a display of environmental monitoring equipment and intelligent monitoring system, which are expected to constitute a new milestone in homeland security and environmental monitoring.

Following the cooperation agreement, SGS' unique mobile environment laser scanning of Asia will be combined with the geospatial information platform developed by GIS.FCU, finding application in the fields of homeland security and environmental monitoring. This new stage of university-industry relations is expected to result in new and innovative solutions and services.
