GIS Research Center becomes Asia’s 1st OGC Standards Compliance Testing Center

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has officially permitted GIS Research Center to become Asia’s 1st OGC Standards Compliance Testing Center. The OGC has been devoted to establish worldwide geo-spatial standards since it was founded in 1994. This entrance permission from OGC also reveals that GIS Research Center’s contribution has earned highly positive ratings.

These years OGC has published GIS Research Center’s related applications of standard and monitoring technology, which drew a lot of attention around the world. In OGC’s 73th Technology Committee Meetings, Feng Chia University has been announced as one of Principal Members.

Meanwhile, Feng Chia University will be the host of OGC’s 77th TC Meetings scheduled in June 2011. Hundreds of experts, scholars and institute delegates are expected to attend this meeting.
